A phone call between
best friends.
Jahnai and I have been best friends for 15 years. She's in North Carolina now, I'm in San Francisco. We're on the phone randomly throughout the week, catching each other up on life... and whoever's in the picture. We default to nicknames like "Mr. Fix It" and "Mr. Jazz Concert" that instantly trigger the context we've previously shared. But even then, it can be hard to keep up.
One night it just clicked. Every active dater we know does this. The silly nicknames. The piecemeal updates. Friends, single or not, guess how the latest date will play out. All of it was happening, and none of it had a home base.
Our most trusted opinions often come from best friends, scattered across text threads, brunch chats, or timezones. When they're up to date, they can clock patterns before you do. They've been right about your last three ~almost~ somethings, and let's be honest, dating can be grim. It would be fun to have a better place to shoot the shit with your friends about it. So we built it. No real names. Just your most-trusted people, your situationsh!ts, and the truth.
